Spiddal Neuro-Affirming Course for Parent with Autistic Children

This is an 5-week neuro-affirming parenting course. It will be running on Fridays at 10am. Beginning 5th of September and finishing on the 3rd of October. Delivered by: Dr Méabh Ní Maolalaidh. Programme is free of charge.

About the event
Classes will be 2-hours, including a break. Number of attendees will be 12, in person. On completion of this course, attendees will receive a certificate of participation and completion.
Learning outcomes:
· Understanding neurodiversity and neuro-confirmative expectations.
· Understanding the autistic perspective: their feelings, thought processes, behaviour, communicate, and learning.
· Home: providing an autistic-informed environment to meet your child’s needs, strategies for organising and accommodating activities, and effective communication.
· Challenging neuro-conforming demands.
